Football fans across the country can finally rejoice as all the NFL teams are back in action this week. Even though it’s just preseason, there are still plenty of storylines to watch out for. And besides, just seeing football being played should be exciting enough. A rather interesting matchup takes place in Arizona when the Denver Broncos head there to square off with the Cardinals. For Denver, they hired a new head coach in Sean Payton and made some key moves in free agency. They’re expected to be much better than last campaign, but still more than likely on the outside of the playoffs looking in. On the Arizona side of things, they’re fully expected to be competing for the worst record in all the NFL. Franchise quarterback Kyler Murray is still rehabbing after tearing his ACL during the 2022-23 season, and they also have a brand-new, first-time head coach in Jonathan Gannon. These are two squads with quite different aspirations for this upcoming season, but we have to remember that this is the preseason. What they each look like in this game may not be indicative at all of how their regular seasons may go. Because of that, we’re staying away from any spread or money line market in our Broncos vs. Cardinals prediction and instead focusing on the total.
