The fight airs on Sky Sports in the U.K. and Peacock in the U.S. A two-time English National Championships silver medalist, Billam-Smith (18-1) climbed the ladder, winning Commonwealth gold in 2019 and British and European belts in 2021. "The Gentleman" reached the top of the mountain when he beat Lawrence Okolie in May for the WBO cruiserweight title. Now, the 33-year-old doesn’t see a world where he isn’t a champion for the long run. "The motivation has changed because the goal isn't to win the world title - it's about cementing a legacy," Billam-Smith told BBC South. "You get that extra 20% when you become champion. I'd never heard of it until I won the title, but it definitely feels like that. There is belief in all the work you have put in, and you trust the process no-end after winning a title. The motivation now is to stay champion until I retire." Masternak (47-5) could be a real challenge with 31 wins via knockout. "Master" has competed for gold throughout his career, from local to interim belts, including a fight against Tony Bellew in 2015 for the European title, where he lost, but is finally getting a shot at full-time gold. The Polish fighter looks to make the most of the opportunity.
