A shot at the UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland will be on the line when former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman battles rising star Khamzat Chimaev on Saturday night in the co-main event at UFC 294. Usman makes his 170-pound debut riding a two-fight losing streak after suffering a majority decision loss to reigning welterweight champ Leon Edwards in their highly anticipated rematch seven months ago at UFC 286. Chimaev is coming off a first-round submission win over Kevin Holland last month at UFC 279 to improve his perfect MMA record to 12-0, and has now finished opponents inside five minutes in four of six octagon appearances since joining the UFC three years ago.
